It's a KO tournement with .5 bountys... I decided to just go after people and I won a coinflip very early on knocked a guy ou, then hit a set and knocked out a guy who had KK
Had aces and moved in and got called by 2 people, one with TT and another with KK...
Moved in when I hit a set and got called by top pair...
I've been sitting on my chip lead, toying with people, overbetting the pot, trying to set them up to come over the top of me with the all in move or to call my all ins.
I'm flat calling in position with hands both good and bad because I want to have my hand be disguised, use my chip stack as power, call down and bluff, show a few bluffs, play a lot of hands. I'll probably tighten up here once I got played back at, but for now, I'm mixing up big bets with very small bets and limps and flat calls and confusing them, the opponent I've been flat calling has just increased his raise to 5X the big blind so I'll give him some respect unless he makes a habit out of it or I get a hand, I'll repop him... I'm actually pretty impressed with his play (Dan Tucker1) he plays good small ball, he made a great call on the river against me. I'm trying to mix it up with him and make him unconfortable and force him to tighten up, and switch up his game. So far it's looking good 38 players left pays to top 10.
Update: my gamble to switch up my game did not pay off although I did get another bounty and I'm still first in chips, I'm down quite a bit now. Not time to tighten up yet, but time to tone down aggressive completely. I'm definately only going to play small pots with people that have big stacks that can hurt me... although I definately want to see some flops and try to hit two pair or straight and bust their aces.
Update2: I've been going after the bounty and getting really lucky but with the blinds and antes, and me still having chip position regardless, it's worth the gamble in my opinion. People are afraid of me because I've been hitting so many hands. They think I'll call anything so they're playing tight... that's to my advantage, but I have to be careful and remember they're trying to set me up. I'm only going after short stacks bounties.
